cheap clarks outlet in weston super mare - anyone know anything about it?

DS is due another pair of shoes. So far we've been buying shoes from the Clarks section of Mothercare.

Someone at work said there was a clarks factory outlet at weston-super-mare with children's clarks shoes at knock-down prices.

is this true? can anyone give me any more details?

The clarks village in Glastonbury is your best bet. Has the Clarks Fcatory shop and loads of other shops like Next, cadburys, Principles, M&S etc, etc

Sorry that's Street not Galstonbury

Beetrootccio · 23/03/2007 15:33

the whole of clarkes Village in street is reallynot wrth much . The shoes are ok - I often buy the kids she there, however the rest f the vilage really is a terrible waste of space. Shoes are usually all the same, last years range that didn't sell

CS1753 · 23/03/2007 15:45

Don't really agree with Beet, whenever I go to Somerset to visit the parents I go over to the village. It is a bit of a luck thing if the shops you go to have what you wnat but as long as you are willing to look you can get some really good bargins. Re. the shoes I have brought a pair of shoes from the Factory shop for my DS (I admit that I get extra money off as both my parents are ex Clarks) and a few months later brought excatly the same shoes in a full priced shop in the next size up.

Beetrootccio · 23/03/2007 15:53

unuual - maybe a sampe pair you found in CV.

CS1753 · 23/03/2007 15:55

No they actually make shoes specifically to go into the village now as it is doing such great business. Does beg the question though why can't they sell the ones in the high street shops at the same price!!

Dazie · 23/03/2007 16:08

its in whirl which is on the outskirts of weston. By the sainsburys, tk max if thats any help we get our shoes from there and they are good prices if there isn't any available in the right size we go to street I would try whirl first though

mammaduck · 23/03/2007 16:37

thanks for responses.

do they usually have a good range of sizes? DS is in a 'half' size at the moment.

Dazie · 23/03/2007 16:42

they usually have no problem with half sizes the only time I wouldnt go is half term or any other holiday time unless you go early in the
morning

CocoLoco · 23/03/2007 17:02

I've had good Clarks shoes from the outlet at Street before, not the biggest bargains (e.g. £19 instead of £30) but worth a look. But it is hit or miss. Don't know about the one in Worle, will check it out!

booge · 23/03/2007 17:07

Hi it is in Worle if you are following sign posts. If you come off the motorway and go towards Weston and take the first right that will take you to it. As Dazie says it is next to Sainsburys. They don't always have all the sizes in stock but get shoes in everyday. Sometimes I have had to go back a few times to get shoes for DS however they are about £17 a pair which is a good saving.

Thanks - last question.

Anyone know what time they open? Am planning on going early tomorrow before the mad saturday rush.
