I loved them till I saw a man picking up a prostitute in one. Now have unfortunate associaitons. Think the soft tops are sweet though.

yeah- my dream was a pink PT cruiser cabrio BUT i would then end up with two cars as it would not be suitable for lugging work stuff around- but the normal one is fine because the seats come totally out to leave a small van!

oh god, decision time i've got until the end of the tax year to either save or spend!!

I really really really want one...

We are looking to replace our family car next year and it is on our shortlist.

The only thing is that apparently it has a hight fuel consumption - dh is worried about the cost of running one...

ah, i hadn't heard that one- but i'm getting a bit sus, the garage have rung me this morning to say that there are two other people interested in the car that are both going to view it later on. Now this car has been there for about three weeks and has been on the display plinth so i know it has not been moved- i think the garage are trying to pull a fast one and rush me into buying it- possibly because there's something not quite right!

i shall go and suggest an aa car check by an independant mechanic and see if they squirm!

of course i could just be paranoid!

He probably needs his commission this month? Don't be rushed into buying.

Dh has read all the reports on the PT, and all say that it is a dream to drive, reliable, solid, spacious, good boot space.
The only issue is the fuel consumption. (but we are looking at the automatic and I think they are 'thirstier' thus more expensive to run....)

yep....very spacious inside which was nice altough didnt seem too "big" to drive iykwim
fuel consumption is quite high but its a nice car and drives like a dream and very comfy

anyone know how they do in safety tests- i'll be going from an ncap 5* scenic so know it will be less but hopefully not too much!!!
