Is it the sort for babies up to 12 months? You can get them from the Early Learning Centre - about £12. They sell them at my local swimming pool too.
DS just loves his.

DD will actually be 20 months when I was thinking of using it. Just had a thought that she might be a bit old for it though?

I think they are only advised for up to 12 months (obviously a there's bit of leeway depending on the size of the child). I was looking for a bigger one for ds (11 months) and I don't think you can get them, just armbands.

Hi FurryFox

I've got an ELC "My First Swim Seat" with a parent-guidance float that's from 12 to 24 months - it was £8. HTH

float jacket would be better than armbands .we were always advised against armbands as they restrict the arms and you get stuck when trying to wean them off them. With the jacket you can take padding out gradually.(expensive though!)

use a swim woggle . it puts them in the correct position for swimming ,i.e. flatter in the water.
Swim teachers where I lve don't like floatsuits or arm bands.
My dd had a woggle from 18mths
