cars that will fit 3 car seats in the back??

am taking my driving test in may (aaarrrggh) and am hoping we will need a car shortly after that!

will need to fit 3 car seats in the back, 1 1st stage, 1 2nd stage and 1 3rd stage. could also do with a decent sized boot to fit double 3 wheeler in!

we are not very rich so needs to be cheapish... £3000 at most but preferably less, oh and i suppose the larger the engine size the more the insurance will be so with a small engine too

Renault Scenic would do the job - 3 proper seats with proper belts. Should get a reasonable one for £3,000.

Our Toyota Avensis can fit 3 cer seats in the back and it has a good size boot. Has a 1.8 engine though so not really a small engine but TBH if you want that much space most of the cars you need will be at least 1.6.

Well obviously you will be buying second hand. I think Citroen Picassos are supposed to be quite cheap - they definitely fit in the car seats and have sizeable boot. Never had one so could not give an opinion.

You also need to check that the child in the booster can access the seatbelt socket. My Laguna will fit 3 seats but you can't then access the seatbelt sockets. Not a problem with fitted seats but impossible for boosters.

if we have one of my girls friends inteh back of our scenic, we have the accessing the socket problem, pointed out by soupy (is 1.6 engine, and an "older" style scenic, x reg)
