I like Miele cylinder vacs - very sturdy and excellent quality, they always do really well in Which tests, too.

MrsSpoon · 20/03/2007 13:32

Henry sucks big time.

MrShev · 20/03/2007 13:32

We have a Henry and it's very good. DS loves it as it has eyes.

I have an electrolux pet lover.. I am really pleased with it!
My dining room carpet is blue... I never knew that before!!!

daftasabrush · 20/03/2007 16:29

Sorry had to go out. Thank you for your replies. Some more opinions would be great.

i'm a lazy cow and have a roomba- won't ever buy a normal vacuum again!!

oh but i do have a super dooper vax in the back of the cupboard for spring cleaning and such like! but thinking about it i've not seen it since roomba arrived on the scene!

daftasabrush · 20/03/2007 16:46

What is a roomba?

Love my bissell upright. Fab suction and the middle bit comes out to convert it to a cylinder for stairs and fiddly bits.
Beats my old dyson hands down for half the price.

turquoise · 20/03/2007 16:49

Henry practically sucks the carpet away from the walls.

3andnomore · 20/03/2007 16:52

We have got a dyson and it's brill...bought it in 2002 and have not have any probs wiht it, ever!

Whoooosh · 20/03/2007 16:53

SEBO is the best vac I have and having had a vac fetish for years have had most of them.
My Sebo practically pulls me along.

ebaysevil · 20/03/2007 16:56

robotic vacuum! but its the one that actually works!

exbury · 20/03/2007 16:58

I'm with MrsSpoon et al - and Henry has the added advantage that DS loves him and begs to be allowed to do the "henrying"

daftasabrush · 20/03/2007 17:05

A robot? wow! These suggestions are fabulous. I am suprised about the variety of makes and models. Any one else?

also got dyson & very happy. Clear cylinder & no bag invaluable for rescuing bit of bionicle

fishie · 20/03/2007 17:22

i love my miele apart from irritating attachment door hinge. my mum has dyson upright and i hate it, it always manages to hurt me in some new way when i use it. nearly bought a sebo instead of miele.

I have henry too,it's effective but too heavy and the tubey thing doesn't reach the top of the stairs.
I want a sebo!

Blossomhill · 20/03/2007 17:57

yep my Henry is great

3andnomore · 20/03/2007 20:08

I have never owed a Henry myself, I must admit, but the Nursing Homes, etc...that I have worked in, tend to have them...and the ones I had the "pleasure" of using were all absolute rubbish and did not suck a thing up....maybe they are o.k. for hOmeuse, but certainly they did not stand up to the demand of a larger Place....

KatyR · 20/03/2007 20:18

Have to say my Sebo K1 is great, as long as you replace the filters when it tells you to, or it gets a bit blocked up and hot - as I discovered, oops!
