Buggy board ok for under 2s?

Basically I have 15month old b/g twins and my DS is an absolute nightmare atm in the pram (and shopping trolley and car seat...) and just screams the entire time he has to be in it. He's recently started walking so wants to do it all the time, but he's not at the stage where he could walk for more than a few minutes without getting distracted and sitting down/ playing with a leaf etc so we don't move anywhere quickly. Anyway! Do you think he'd be ok on a buggyboard with his rein backpack on?? It's just becoming really difficult to do anything at all, we've barely been out in weeks now because of his tantrums. I've tried toys, food, singing, our other pram- completely out of ideas apart from a buggy board! Has anyone used one for children that young? Smile

The minimum age limit is 2 years I suppose but my friend uses one on her 20 month. I guess it just depends on the child and if he is confident on it, and if you are there to look over, I think it would be okay.

We used a sit down buggy board with dd from 23 months and she was okay but any younger and she wouldn't of stayed on.

My youngest dc is now 19 months and big for her age (above the top percentile for weight and height) and there's no way I'd risk it. She just wouldn't understand not to step off etc. You can get a board called the easy x rider which has a seat and seat belt which may be okay?

Obviously every child is different so all you can do is try. Good luck with whatever option you try OP

We have a meego and it's brilliant! The easy x rider is similar but it's a Chinese manufacturer and it isn't as sturdy as the meego. We had one and sent it back.

My very sensible and cautious do d didn't get the hang of the buggy board til about 2.6yrs, but then he was still happily riding in the buggy and I suspect preferred the ease of that!
