We have what seems like acres of tiled hard floors and I am tired with washing them by hand. I am told you can get an vacuum cleaner type appliance that will wash them for me. Does anyone know of one and would you recommend it?

We also have mucky carpets - is there an appliance that will do both had floors and carpets?

Must be googling the wrong words as coming up with very little that's useful. Then I thought you mners are sure to know.

TIA

Hmm - no direct experience, but you could try a steam cleaner , or this just for the hard floors? Have a look on QVC for things like this - not necessarily to buy, just to get an idea of the sorts of things there are out there?

Another one just for hard floors.

Thanks JackieNo. I like the one in the last link it looks just what I need. I googled for Bissell and also came up with this Bissell quickwash but the hard floor bit is an attachment so may be more geared to carpets. Anyone got this model?

I suppose expecting one to do both hard floors and carpets is expecting a bit much, it probably wouldn't do either especially well. I have to sort out my priorities. Or buy 2 machines!

Bump for the after-school shift. If you aren't too busy scrubbing floors.....

Won't a Wet and Dry Vax do both?

quanglewangle · 19/03/2007 17:34

Well, probably, but aren't they primarily for carpets? I am really after something to wash tiled floors as its prime function, though carpet cleaning would be a bonus.

Just wondered if anyone had any hands-on experience. Every make and model I have found today by googling has a real mixed bag of reviews.
