Looking at buying a Nissan Qashai and unsure whether to go petrol or diesel. I'm a diesel fan but with all the talk about a diesel scrappage scheme I'm questioning whether a petrol might be a better choice long term. The car will be used for short journeys mostly so will I see the benefit from having diesel? I don't live in a high pollution area so I doubt our council would be imposing any charges for driving a diesel. Does anyone have any advice? I prefer diesel but don't want to get lumbered with something if the government really are trying to get rid of them! Any advice appreciated.
