It's Dyson time again ... should I replace or repair again?

My Dyson 07 is 3 years ago. This time last year it started cutting out after a very short time. After numerous unblockings we had to have a cyclone repaired. Recently the same thing started happening again .. It has been in for repair (unblocking) twice now. As soon as I got it home again it started cutting out so I returned it to the shop. The man said that if it still cuts out, it will need a new cyclone .. guess what ... first go round the house and it keeps cutting out. Should I fork out again for another part or should we start again?

That's a tricky one.I personally would phone Dyson and tell them about the previous repairs and see what they suggest. We still have the original dc01 and it still works like a dream 10 years on.A couple of times we have had problems with it,I've phoned them and they've told me exactly what to do over the phone to rectify the problem and on one ocassion they came to the house to fix it,for a very small charge AND we got an extra guarantee afterwards.

I finally gave up on my Dyson07 and went and bought a Meile non-cyclone type hoover and I love it.

Another vote for Miele. They are fantastic. We've had one since 1998 and it's never broken or faltered. Now have another (4 storey house - wanted one upstairs and one downstairs) and it's just as brill.

Thanks everyone ... Miele seem to come out well on all the reviews .. but I'm not sure I want a cylinder type one ... I've also heard the bags are very expensive to replace ... is that true? Has anyone tried a Vax ...in particular the V006 Turboforce?
