Quinny 06 vs Quinny 07

Sorry ladies another Quinny Query!!! I have decided on the Quinny Buzz, however I am in a dilemma on 2006 Style vs 2007 style. When looking at the 2 styles side by side my concern was that the new, much comfier looking seat, doesn?t look like it will last very long in terms of size of child. I have had them both measured and have been informed that there is very little in it. Have any of you seated an older baby/toddler in the new style Quinny and if so how did it go.

Any advice greatly received and it is beginning to drive me mad trying to decide

Thanks

Hi Fep - I've been having the same trouble. I asked several people at the baby show on Sat and they all said that the chasis was the same, the 07 seat is more padded and easier to clean but the seat sizes were the same (although I agree the 07 one looks smaller). Anyway I have gone for the 07 and when it arrives I will let you know - however DD2 is only 6 months so it will probably not really answer your question, I will try DD1 in it too - she's 3

I definitely think it looks smaller. The hood without doubt is smaller on the 07 model. I think the fabric on the seat of the 07 feels a bit weird too. And the colours apart from the black are too garish for me.

All in all, I think I prefer the 06, but I don't think they'll be around new for much longer.

I love the lime one but you can only get it at mothercare so I went for a bargain black one at the baby show (about £40 cheaper than MC) I agree about the other colours - too much for my taste.

I like red prams normally, but that one is R E D !!!

mishw thank you that will be a great help.I was beginning to think I would have to drag some random child off the street to help out. Could I ask if you saved much by buying at the show? I am thinking of going to the one at the NEC in May but wasn't sure if it would be worth while.

Thanks

I got a black quinny buzz 2007 + quinny footmuff + quinny shopping basket from kiddisave for £299.99 with free delivery, waiting for it to arrive, will let you know how long I have to wait!

Mothercare had 10% off and were doing the 2007 buzz + footmuff (no shopping basket - which I reckon you need) for £333 (£370 without discount)

Hope that helps, will keep you posted with my thoughts!

Hi Fep

The Buzz arived on Tuesday and is great - better than I thought it would be. The rain cover is easy to put on and also has a zip for easy access (however this may be the same on the 06 model, not too sure), also has a mosquito net thingy which will be great on holiday. The seat is really comfy for the baby, however not had a chance to put my 3 year old in yet for a test drive, I will try and do that later if I can and let you know.

Have just put DD1 (a tall 3 year old) in the Buzz and she loved it - it was a little squashed for her around the arms, but her bum fit in it no problem and she thought it was great fun to lie back in it also I'm assuming you're not buying this for a 3 year old!

Let me know what you decide

Thank You Mishw. Glad you are pleased with your new purchase. We went to have another look the weekend. The man in our local pram shop was extremely helpful and as myself and my partner are relatively tall he has suggested the 06 style. I still prefer the look of the 07 but have backed down and ordered the 06 with the Dreami carry cot for new baby.

Big thank you for your advice and to 3 yr old for modelling.

Wishing you many a happy mile with your new Quinny

Thanks

FEP
