I have an iPod, was bought as a birthday pressie.

mine is 4gb but i haven't even used 1gb yet! 4gb ones cost around £120, then the car stuff is extra, you can get a gadget cheaply to put it through tape player, or an fm transmitter which is more expensive.

currys online were very cheap when we got mine

My DH has an ipod which he loves.
Some cars allow you to plug them straight in or there are two different ways to connect to the car stereo.
-One is an adaptor which looks like a tape, so if your car has a tape player this is a cheaper way of doing it or
-FM transmitter thingy that connects to the ipod and then sends the tunes to the stereo on radie waves. This has recently become legal in the UK but I think it is more expensive than the tape one.

Your sooo right Ellie, I got a little MP3 player thingie for my birthday a couple of years ago, never used it as he immediatly filled the thing up with the music he likes

EllieK · 15/03/2007 16:32

exactly!
i've only just learnt how to use mine, and haven't refined it yet

Thanks everyone i have looked at a couple website I think the i pod might be a bit expensive once ive bought car stuff as well. Is an mp3 player the same thing but just a different make? sorry for being so stupid. If this is right can anyone reccomend a good one for about £60-70.

an mp3 works the same but isn't as posh a name! get the best one you can afford with the most memory, you need at least 1gb i'd say

Oh its so not just a bloke thing - I've got big love for my i-pod.

I've got the 30gb video loads of CDs on it and downloaded a fair few albums & games from i-tunes & ive only used about 5gb memory. Whenever we went away I had to take the player & a cd case with about 10/15 cds I MAY want, now I just have my lovely i-pod and it has everything I want on it!

I love my ipod, as do the DC. I bought DH one from ebay - a new one - for a really low price - so it might be worth having a quick squizz on there.
