When can i put Ds(4 months) into the second seat and out of the laying flat position?
He isn't in his cocoon anymore but still looks a bit squashed as he is a large baby.
Should i wait untill he is 6 months and sitting up ? did any of you change before then?

You can take the cocoon out and lie him on a blanket or something - gives you much more room.
Think I changed over about 5 1/2 mths once dd's head control was good/she was almost sitting

I think I sat ds up at around 4 1/2- 5 months. It is a very upright position but he was fine and preferred to be sat up so he could see what was going on!

after about 4- 4.5 months once he had good head control and didn't fall asleep as soon as in pram
but waited til nearer 6 months before in the add on seat under the toddler as it felt more upright

You could pad the 2nd seat out with a big blanket and make sure he's supported. I found that 4+ month bit a bit tricky with the E3. It doesn't lastr long but it's a bit hard.

How about just using a sling with him for a little bit?
