Windows - Can you recommend a company for replacement windows? London

We are buying a victorian terrace in East London and will need to replace all the windows.

We would like to get wooden / double glazed / sash look replacements.

Does anyone know a good firm locally or anywhere in London?

Move is not till July, but want to get the work planned for and arranged.

We used a small local firm to replace our porch a few years ago and I've just ordered new windows and patios from them aswell, which are being fitted next week. They are based in Hornchurch and are called Ardleigh Improvements-excellent service and quality and I think you'll struggle to find cheaper too.

Thanks Bubbaloo. Will check them out.

we had ours done a few years ago, lovely man and half the price of the local joinery.

he made us a great casement kitchen window too and does repairs, you might not need everything to be replaced.

oh, we are in newham and he is in woodford.

Thanks Fishie, will contact him.

Bubbaloo - looks like Ardleigh only do UPVC. We're hoping to get wooden replacements. But I'll give them a call anyway.

Oh that's a shame-ring them anyway as they may be able to do what you're after. The chap that owns the company is realy nice and he actually phoned me this morning to say they're fitting my windows and doors on Thursday.
