HELP - I need a back carrier

I'm looking for some advice on back carriers for my son (5 months) but want to be able to use it for a long time. Can anyone offer some information on which carriers worked for you?

I'm not much for the vertical climb more the getting round tesco and making dinner without screaming match. Is it easy on/easy off?

I'd recommend an ergo, a patapum, a Yamo or an Beco - all light weight fabric back carriers, but very comfortable through to toddlerhood.

I hightly recommend bigmama - excellent customer service ( although I believe they may be going on holiday next month, not sure if that will delay things ). I believe naturalmothering.co.uk also does sling hire - also recommended.
