Recent Which? Report on Car Seats ....

Just wondering whether anyone has a sub to Which? Online and, if so, would you be able to e-mail me this report so as I can read what they say before we go shopping for new seat for DS1.

I think the last big study on car seats was done by the AA in conunction with some one else. Will try and find it - although sure there is a link somewhere on MN already from the time it came out.

These are the most recent AA child restraint reports I can find:

2004 report

This report gives a page of info on about a dozen or more car seats with advantages and disadvantages, etc.

2003 report

This is the big test report from the last year's rearch and study. Mothercare seas did not come out well and I think only 1 seat came out with the best results - and that was the Isofix seat.

Thanks a million Hulababy .... it's worse than I thought cos there isn't one booster seat with a 5 point harness suitable for 3 yr old that gets a satisfactory or good rating. Yikes!!

but they don't explain how they come by the rating-maybe a booster with a back will never get a good rating due to lack of side impact protection? We have the Britax Trio, and was disappointed to seethat it scrapes a bare minimum.

well, maybe they do explain, but couldn't read 68 pages to find out
