Was considering buying one and wondered whether they were any good for picking up cat hair. Anyone?

Used to have one and it was ok but was nothing special. Borrowed someone's cheap Panasonic one day and it was just as good, if not slightly better for hair and general dirt.

We've got one and wouldn't be without with 2 cats and a dog. It is so easy to use and light as well. Although as the advert says you do have to empty everytime you use it, which at this time of year is every day or every other day if you're lucky. Not the best of ideas to have a chocolate labrador and cream carpetsI also really like the stair attachment that comes with it as it gets into all the corners and so take a fraction of the time to clean.

Also have to say that the service is fantastic from their maintenance department.

We got one and it's very good on lurcher hair. Also comes to bits for cleaning which appeals greatly to the man in your life!

Rank. Had it for a day then took it back to Argos. But then I feel all my Dyson's have been good - up until three weeks old. Now got Miele's Cat and Dog ... brilliant! You have to change the bags, of course, but it's much better than any of my Dysons' ever were. Go get one from Argos girl - you only have to say it doesn't do its job properly and then they'll take it back.
