Just googled and found this on a forum

"Starbucks furniture is manufactured specifically for Starbucks. They will not release any information other than the company only supplies Starbucks and does not manufacture for anyone else -- they even go to the extent of removing any identifying tags before they are to be shipped to the stores. "

but no idea if it's true.

same basic shape though and parker knoll last for decades. you could get second hand and get recovered.

MrsApron · 03/03/2007 20:49

actually nicer feet then the auction one I think.

the wing back bit doesn't seem to turn up hits, am currently using alternate search stuff....

I like a challenge !

MrsApron · 03/03/2007 20:52

this looks gorgeous and v comfy

here

suspect your best bet may be an upholsterers.

There is one in edinburgh who has the frames in with white slipcovers on ready for your choice of fabric there might be something like that near you?

MrsApron · 03/03/2007 20:55

queen anne too high and formal I think.

over stuffed victorian seems to be closest to your style I think, I haven't been in a starbucks for ages but think fairly close to the ground? Wide seat?

Buttons or not?

MrsApron · 03/03/2007 20:58

I seems to have drifted from the wing back requirements .

NotanOtter · 03/03/2007 23:46

thanks so much

I wonder how muc re upholstering is??

Hi NOA - I've had 2 chairs re-upholstered in the last 2 years. The larger one probably had a little less fabric than the chairs you're looking at, but the fabric needed to be shaped around wooden arms etc. so there was quite a lot of work.

I paid £250.00.

For a smaller chair I paid £180.00

NotanOtter · 10/03/2007 11:25

ohhh thankyou littlefish that is probably going to be the way to go

I didn't see this thread first time round, sorry. But have found this site where you can choose the shape of chair (there's the ladies wing chair, or the gentleman's one), pick some legs, so to speak, and either use one of their fabrics or supply your own, but not sure if £375 for each chair is a bit more than you want to spend (plus you'd have to buy the velvet too)?

JackieNo · 10/03/2007 11:55

Even more expensive but I couldn't resist linking, because of the name.

NotanOtter · 10/03/2007 11:57

i KNEW it Jackie!!!

my heroine ....worth saving for i reckon!!! that looks fab and i am pretty sure thats as near as i will get!! thankyou!!!

My cousin works for a company called Benchmark woodworking and they make and fit furniture for places like Starbucks.
It could be that they have done something like this.

JackieNo · 10/03/2007 12:00

.

No prices, but lots of options here - love the Gothic one!
