I've always bought the macleans or colegate 'milk teeth' toothpaste for dt's.

I think they're old enough now to use a grown up toothpaste, but they say our Colegate is 'too minty' - I guess they mean it's a bit hot flavoured.

Are there any very mild toothpastes that we could try that aren't too 'over minty' - god I don't know how to say what I mean here!

I'd like to stop using the milk teeth stuff cos it's only in little tubes and doesn't last 5 minutes with two of them using it and we keep running out.

Colegate is very strong - look for a spearmint toothpaste and that's milder.

asdas own make

I've tried various ones and am now using Tesco Kids Total Care Mildmimt. It doesn't specify an age on it just says kids

Ah now I tried Asda's own make of baby toothpaste on them once and they all said that was too hot, so I thought the grown up one might be too.

Fussy my lot aren't they!

My dd doesn't like 'minty' much either. She uses Sensodine - not sure which one though.

We use Mentadent P - nice and mild.

Coolmama · 02/03/2007 21:56

sensodyne do a minty version - not too scary!

Boots own brand, apple flavoured - it doesn't really taste of apple, still mint but milder

Mine like tescos kids minty one too, they say it isn't too spicy .

They do sell the milk teeth one in bigger tubes I couldn't tell you where though! We got a big free tube from our HV. Have to say though i've only ever seen the small ones on sale.

We use Theramed liquid tooth paste. Its quite mild. I don't like very minty ones.

Thank you all.

Thats great, I've got some ideas to look out for now. There are so many toothpastes on the market!

NuttyMuffins · 03/03/2007 10:07

Mine hate anything really minty but are fine with the aquafresh one in the green tube not the blue.

I am worse than the kids i think. Have just started using mouthwash and am nearly sick everytime I use it LOL.
