stroller skates (little strap on wheels fro shoes) as a alternative to heeleys - any good?

has anyone tried these? I am refusing to get heeleys but am under intense pressure!

Oh we were discussing this the other week - there was a cheaper alternative to heeleys but I can't remember the name - hang on will go search.

I got ds3 some street gliders for his 8th birthday a couple of weeks ago - I think that's the type of thing you mean. He finds it quite difficult to use them and doesn't have the patience to keep trying until he gets the hang of it.
They are a much cheaper alternative to heeleys and adjust to fit different sized feet so would probably be a good bet if your child has more patience than my ds!

Walk 'n' glide. You can order then from the science museum. Dd got some this week for her birthday and has only had a little practice indoors so far but seems quite taken with them. At least they won't get outgrown like the built-in ones - they even fit me! I had a go but was completely useless.

I'm gonna get an heart attack soon cos of those wheely things. With the way these kids just launches off I used to think they were about to trip over and would rush out to help (heart in mouth) only to find out otherwise.
