Rock A Tot / Britax question...

I have been given a Rock A Tot car seat which is great as its so much lighter than the Graco thing that came with my travel system. So my question is will it fit onto any (apart from the super special new ones I assume) pushchair base? And another thing I just thought of... the rain cover that came with my Graco travel system obviously fits over the car seat clipped onto the pushchair, but fairly soon I will want to use just the pushchair, won't the raincover be all weird shaped? How DOES it all work?!!!

The Rock-a-tot will only fit on the Britax pushchair if I am correct, and we needed an extra metal adapter thingie with it. It was one of the best carseats though, esp as baby can lie so flat in the car when it is fitted properly.
The raincover will fit fine. I haven't had a Graco one but it will just hang down from where the hood is. Have you checked it will fit over with the car seat in place? I had to buy a special one from Mothercare to use with the car seat, but that was 4 years ago and things have moved on.

Hi thanks. The raincover definately fits over the Graco pushchair with car seat attached, just was wondering if it would be hugely weird and baggy without, I guess I could just try it and see!
Will keep an eye out for a Britax pushchair then, do you reckon any one ie Trio or Excel or whatever?

Actually I have to say I do not recommend the Britax pushchair at all. I hated mine and it was the Excel. It was very heavy and not easy to manoevre at all. I don't think you will need it as a travel system especially as they now recommend that the babies shouldn't be in the car seats for too long. HTH

Thanks for that, useful to have feedback from someone who has used one. Heavy is not something I like - c-section scar still hurts!! Thanks for that

I used to pop my rock a tot car seat into my M&P pliko as the bumper bar kept it a snug fit. HTH
