My friends DD would like one for her birthday. There's one in Next but it's pink and her bedroom's blue. Her mum said pink would be fine but if I could find a blue one, that would be great. Any help, much appreciated.

Dunno gscrym, but saw your name and just wondering how the studies were going?

Hiya Gingerbear,

I'm doing some bits from books I got. I was supposed to get the mass and energy balance unit but they sent me the maths one instead. That was last october and I haven't seen the right unit yet. Should be here this month though. Kind off blows my hope of having the course done in a year.

Never mind, am ploughing through the books and have been hunting for things at work wo do as my project. I'm very interested ina way of saving nitrogen and that could apply to any plant I get sent to.

Do you need any help? do you mean nitrogen blanketting for storage tanks? Have you looked at pressure control/regulators?

It was for all usages. One of the things we use it for is transfers. I'm trying to see if it's a shrter length of pipe, that we could use restictor plates to reduce flow from 2 down to 1 bar and still move the stuff along. Won't apply to some of my plant because we're transferring a lot of slurrys through about 60m of pipe going up about 30m. The other thing I need to look at is how to improve filtration through a filter cake that resembles wet plaster. First batch filters in about 4hrs and increases to about 3 days. I just hate diggin the filter out as it's so messy, I'm short and end up swinging on bolts. My boss thinks it waould be a good thing to do. I just think he doesn't want to so he can get me to make a project from it.

Again, apologies for geek hijacking my own thread.

Thank you m'lovely.

Work's quite quiet at the mo so managing to do plenty of reading. I'll be more pushed for time when my plant starts up. Annoying process and me classed as core after process being shut down for a year.
