What do I buy for a 50th Birthday

One of my very best friends is 50 next week, and I want to buy him something special but I don't have a whole lot of money - was thinking I could afford maybe £25 - 30.

Can you help???

A bit of backgound about him - he is a gay man, who lives in a swish modern appartment in the heart of the city near where I live. He has modern, minimal furnishings and is very tasteful. He dresses really well, looks young for his age and dresses and acts younger than 50.He goes out a lot at weekends, works hard and has just been promoted at work.

Any ideas? - I would quite like something a bit quirky, it doesn't have to be big, just something that lets him know how much I care about him. Not a tall order then

TIA

WMxx

what's that kitchen gadget range called? Begins with A! They would fit most of your criteria.

Alesi?

A framed modern art print? Sorry, haven't a clue how much they cost though, could be beyond the budget.

Have you seen the Penguin Book mugs based on the classic covers eg 1984, The Invisible Man, The Big Sleep etc. I think they would suit him and not too expensive.

Some good ideas, thanks everyone, but would be really grateful if you could give me some more. We were kind of talking about it on Friday (trying to get some ideas.....) and he said he'd like something personal and wouldn't object to kinky!!!!!!!!! OMG HELP! WHAT????!!??
