OMG! Fabulous ...

After months of dithering over 'shall we or shouln't we', we took the plunge and ordered one. Wish we'd done it ages ago.

Reasonable way to 'update' your bed without buying a new one

Highly recommended!

Hey that is really good to know, I have often ummed and aahed over this. Is it just super-comfy? What thickness did you get and how much was it (if you don't mind my asking)?

themaskedposter · 27/02/2007 12:24

No worries Lio ...
We got it off one of the shops on ebay (will link if you so desire), it is a 3" (ooo-eeerrr)one and it was £76 plus p+p ... we made our max bid so the entire price wouldn't go over £100.
It may sound a lot to some people - but it is undeniably SUPER comfy - so comfy infact dd was yelling at us from her room this morning whilst dh and I were 'memory-foamed' to the bed ... ie we didn't want to get out!!

Will ask dh (am pathetic wifey who leaves money to him ) as I am on maternity leave = no money for the mo. I'm sure it would help with our back and shoulder aches though...

I think it would work marvels on back aches and pains ... the only thing is now I have to go out and buy super-king size sheets as I have had to stretch our ones over ...

...what a shame, I have to go shopping!!

I quite like mine (didn't like the smell at first though) but I do find it very warm-can see it coming off for the Summer.

themaskedposter · 28/02/2007 07:53

apparently they are cool in summer - can't see it myself - but damn, I'm gonna give it a good 'try' before it comes off!

I've just bought one today for 74.99 in argos, gonna give it a go tonight.

StripeyKnickersSpottySocks · 07/03/2007 17:18

I lay on a proper Tempur mattress the other day in a bedshop and didn't like it. Felt too hard, so not sure whether to get it as its better for my back. Or keep my confy mattress which isn't good for my back.

Radley · 07/03/2007 18:19

I know the feeling, I'm having alot of problems with my back at the minute, and, I start work next week so I can't really afford for it to get any worse, so, today, I bought a memory foam topper and a memory foam pillow. Hope it's comfy
