I picked up a flyer from argos for their half price things and I found this. It's excellent and wanted to buy it for ds2 who's only six months but I can't really because ds1 has a huge Tomy train set with loads of add ons that's ds2 will inherit.

But I thought I'd share it with you so here's the link

BTW it's not half price it's 30% of the price!

Cheers for that Flip! Have just reserved one for ds twins birthday, will rush to the store tomorrow to pick it up. They have the misfortune of having a birthday four days after Christmas so I buy presents throughout the year to minimise the financial punch of it!

Now I just have to decide who will get it, they will play together but it is nice to receive seperate pressies!

Wow!! Dd who is 2.5 would love that, she is really into trains at the moment since we took her to the local steam railway.

Just shown it to dh and he said straight away to get it.

Thank you so much Flip! What a bargain...and I have just the little chap for it, so have ordered one and will keep it for later. Like Paula I have twins and one or two things like this bought throughout the year can sure take the sting out of Christmas and birthdays.

skerriesmum · 21/06/2004 22:22

Excellent! Thanks for the tip, we had to reserve it but did get one and will save it for Xmas. It's funny, dh was just saying, I really want to get ds a train set...

They're out of stock on this now - obviously due to a surge in demand from mumsnet. DD will have to wait for her train, just like I do when I commute!

For all you train fans, I got my DS a fab train set from Asda for Christmas. It was a wooden one with about 70 bits and it was £12.49 or thereabouts. It had bridges, the works! We added a few Thomas bits from ELC and it is compatible with Brio and all the ELC stuff. It is played with everyday - what a bargain.

They also have the smaller version in the sale too, for £9.99. So we bought that too, I just can't wait to see their faces when they see it all set up for them.

Only problem, have had to hide it away.....from DH!

Feel tempted to get it now at that price! do you think 5 weeks is too soon?

Flip · 22/06/2004 22:03

Glad you all like it. I often find bargains. Will keep you posted as Xmas approaches.

Seen as the active cons are running quick there must be a few of you around. Just bumping this in case someone hasn't seen it. A real bargain.
