one decent thing each - a book from the book people - they often do 10 books for £10 - can do a speedy delivery I think

For my dts last year, I used sunflower seeds, wooden toys, a balloon and colouring pencils made from recycled wood.Oh, and a piece of cake.

treacletart · 19/02/2007 19:41

how about packets of seeds?- or if you can run to it, Woolworths are doing really good mini greenhouse kits for £2.50 each.

fortyplus · 19/02/2007 19:41

Mine loved those kits where you press the shapes out of pre-cut wood and assemble them to make owls, dinosaurs, fish etc.

moondog · 19/02/2007 19:41

I did paper bags and put some Fair Trade chocolate in as well as some bulbs (with picture and planting instructions) and one joke shop toy.

paulinka · 20/02/2007 19:22

i like the idea of books plus fai trade choc...

We made everyone a gingerbread man, with their initial on it...
Love the seeds idea, though

ds was at a party on Saturday and got one of those teeny novelty facecloths that expand in water. it was a huge hit and I thought a great non-tat idea for a party bag

having said that the plastic tat always goes down v well in this house...

Baker Ross were doing sweet little flower presses last year- I got them for dd's party bags. Bit old for 4 year olds, though, maybe.

oh paulinka what did you get? I keep starting a basket then getting distracted, but it does have good ideas.
