Do you know the measurement ??

Funnliy enough Ive had the same problem, my down staircase is 71.5 and I thought there was nothing. Ive been searching for weeks for a pressure fit and have found this one in JOHN LEWIS , which was the narrowest. I looked everywere mothercare/jo jo maman/toys r us and others.

If its narrrower than this then Im at a loss. the only really narrrow one is the kiddygaurd roller blind style , by Lascal ,but thats a bolt on one.

I can't remember how narrow it was but we used the travel stairgate (its got a blue mesh in the middle and its pressure mounted) for a narrow stairway in a cottage we hired when the kids were small. Problem is that it is permanent - i.e. you can't open it so once kids are in bed we had to loosen the screws, take it down and then redo them in the morning. I'll have a look for it.

Here it is - fits from 70 to 94.3

may be worth it if she doesn't go up to the loft conversion very much during the day
