Maxi Cosi Cabrio car seat - help needed to remove covers for washing

I've followed the instruction manual and have managed to remove the cover from most of the seat except I can't see how I'm supposed to free it from the bit at the bottom where quick adjuster belt loop (used for quickly tightening the shoulder straps when you have your LO strapped in). This belt loop goes through the cover & I can't figure out how to free it in order to get it out. It doesn't appear to come apart in mine as I would have expected it to, it's sewn together so unless somebody can help me solve this one it looks like I'll have to take a scissors to the bottom of the cover which means I have to chop through the elastic that holds it in place at the bottom!! Surely that'll mean I would end up buying a whole new seat cover, not very user friendly if so . Any suggestions greatly appreciated

If it's the same model as mine there are 'buttons' holding it on at the bottom and is then hooked under grey bit where belt adjuster thing comes out. Don't use scissors - it does come apart.

Hi Alexw, I managed to remove the cover completely from the frame of the seat so have freed it from the grey plastic bit where the belt adjuster is but I can't figure out how I'm supposed to release the actual belt adjuster loop so that I can remove the loop from the seat cover. It's only the actual belt loop that's now keeping the cover dangling from the seat, IYKWIM? Where are the buttons on your seat? How old is yours? I bought this one nearly 2 yrs ago but according to the manual I should be able to remove the cover completely for cleaning but am struggling to see how. Can you explain how yours works please? Hoping you or someone else can help. Thx
