My cars increasingly decrepit so trying to choose potential next (used) car for when it dies. Will have less than 10k so fancy not a priority. I live next to a farm and want a robust car with a decent boot that's a fun drive. I love my Audi A4 estate right now but want something with a bit more versatility and that has a higher base for floods etc. Keen to have decent mpg if possible and I gather most people buy the diesels- not sure why? And diesels are unceasingly frowned on environmentally so don't know if I want one.
Needs decent leg room in the back too as suspect DS will be huge soon.
Thanks for any thoughts or experience on any of:-
Nissan X trail
Hyundai ix-35
Honda CR-V
