I have just gone back to gltc after their customer services sent me a letter saying all e supply problems had been resolved and GUESS what......
the 2 clocks I ordered for christnening presents are not in stock and won;t be until July.( i placed the order on 8 June, and no one has thought to contact me and tell me) This was the second story within an hour - the first story was that my order had not been despatched because payment had not been cleared.
Has any one else had similar or better experiences with them?
Sorry to go on

Always had great service last year, not so hot this year, delays, things running out etc (and no more clothes? or is that me just not seeing them?). They told me they were having problems with a distributor, maybe it's taking them longer than they thought to sort out. It's a shame, nice stuff. Have you tried www.letterbox.co.uk, lots of similar gift things, had good service from them at Christmas?

I recently ordered some stuff for my dds birthday from them and the service was faultless. One or two items were not in stock but were clearly marked as such on the site so I didn't order them. The things I did order arrived very quickly with no problems.

I had a real problem at Christmas. I had ordered a set of personalised calendars for the rellies as part of their presents and they didn't show up til mid Jan. I did get the letter explaining distribution problems but it's disappointing that these have perhaps not been sorted out completely by now.

A friend of mine had real problems with them - I know because she asked me to fax a claim form to them. They took ages to despatch her order and then the parcel went missing. Missing parcel not GLTC's fault but they were not at all helpful or prompt about settling the claim. It got sorted out in the end but it has put me off ever dealing with them.

DON'T BUY FROM THEM!!! Bl**dy nightmare.

the postage is a fiver too

I've had worse from them, so much so that I swore I'd never use them again and three years on I have stuck to my guns. I use a lot of mail order suppliers and GLTC are easily the worst in terms of competence. I find their "sod you" attitude disgraceful.
Like lefamama, I've switched to Letterbox, who are fab and have never let me down yet. Tridias and Dawsons are also good, and even Urchin are better than GLTC in my experience!

I placed an order with letterbox the same day as gltc, and that arrived 3 days later - fantastic company! I have no given up with gltc, and will not be tempted again.
