Just wanted to pass on details of a company that I encountered at a summer fete on Saturday. I bought a brand new, 18-36 months Betsy Bunny GroBag for £18.50! (Having just spent £25 on a 6-18 month model as a gift from Debenhams..Grr).
The company also do Daisy Roots shoes, sun and rainwear. You can check them out at:
www.uptofive.co.uk
The GroBags are the cheapest I've ever found. They don't have a shop so say they don't pass on the overheads. Hope this is of some use to a couple of you!
Happy shopping.

Thanks lyndap, what a great find. I am still gnashing my teeth over recent purchase - John Lewis doing their own brand sleeping bags now, but dont think they are as cheap as this.
Nice to speak to you again today!

Hey Zeebee,
Glad you found the site to be useful. It's run by a nice couple who have a 9 month old wee girl and so decided to work for themselves and do this. Still quite a new company and based in a lovely bit of Scotland not far from where I live. I kind of like using companies that aren't the big multi-nationals so it's great to find ones that actually do products that you want!

lyndap - hate you...you've just made me spend money!
BTW cheapy grobag on WWW.tchibo.co.uk (£5.99) - they aren't the branded ones, but are okay quality (got one last year...)

lyndap · 17/06/2004 12:09

Blackduck,
I haven't actually made you SPEND money - I have in fact SAVED you money. It's the having a Mars Bar with a diet coke idea - it would have been so much worse to have a Mars Bar and a full fat coke....You may have bought a GRoBag in any case and this was about £7 cheaper than normal. What to spend the saved £7 on, though?

Hope your purchase brings you the kind of joy that retail therapy does me!

Lyndap - Where in Scotland are you? I'm in Central Scotland.

lyndap · 17/06/2004 12:19

Toothache,
I'm in sunny Stirling. Where are you?

lyndap · 17/06/2004 12:30

Thank you so much for your post. My sister bought Tchibo babybags for DS when I went to stay with her in Munich. I had know idea you could get this stuff on the web. I ordered another 2. Only 4.99 each though.... oh yes and some other stuff....

Blackduck · 17/06/2004 12:51

Just don't buy the travel cot - it takes two strong men to lift it

lyndap · 17/06/2004 13:59

Toothache,
My friend and her family are moving to BOA in July. Want to meet for a coffee sometime in August? Clive Ramsays???

Toothache · 17/06/2004 14:02

Sounds fab... I'm due my 2nd baby on August 6th.... so provided I'm nice and early (everything crossed, except my legs! ) that would be lovely.

How old are you? I might know you. I'm 26.

lyndap · 17/06/2004 14:05

Toothache,
I'm 33 and didn't move to Stirling til I was 18 (to go to Uni). How do we exchange email addresses to sort out a post-natal (for you!) coffee?

OP posts:
Toothache · 17/06/2004 14:07

I went to Stirling Uni too! I studies Marine Biology from 95 to 98.

Just click on contact another talker at the top of the page and MN will send me your email address. It'll go to my home email which I won't get until tonight though.
