Furby connect which tablet?

Can anyone advise which devices are compatible with a furby connect?
Looking at getting a tablet and the furby as Christmas gifts so want to make sure the tablet is good separately but also compatible with the furby

Afaik there is both an iOS (Apple) and android app so either iPad or android tablet should work
