My ipod questions

Firstly can I take my ipod to work and connectit to the school computer and play it through my whiteboard speakers. I won't be able to install itunes and when I tried on my own computer at home to access my ipod through the USB port I couldn't.

Secondly can anyone recomend some speakers? Have looked in past threads but many of the links don't work.

We have just bought a new LG LCDtv can I coonectmy ipod to that?

Does anyone have the ipod stereo?Whatis the sound quality like?Is it worth the £200?

I think you connect it to the speakers directly, so i don't think itunes is necessary.

Secondly, i recomend an audio buddy cable (can get from savastore) that plugs into your ipod to your stereo - worth the £4 any day!

So can I attach it to the speakers in my classroom then if i temporarily unplug tge connection from the computer to the speakers and plug in my ipod?

Should be able to - if it fits into the headphone jack then yes.(This is DS btw - he has just wirelessly networked our whole house!)

I don't think you can connect it, isn't the connector usb rather than mini jack?

Not easier to make a cd to take to school?

We have a little ipod speaker thingie that charges the ipod. The sound isn't great but it's ok. It's by Logic3. It was probably around £40? Ah, here for 49 + vat.

The power connection is USB, the headphone connection where you would plug in the speakers is mini jack but im not sure if its a standard size.

The power doesnt seem to last a great amount of time when they are on speakers so I would invest either in a power cable for it or get speakers which charge it whilst it plays.

Try the apple site for speaker recommendations...I have heard ALEC LANSING, JBL AND BOSCH all were good.

If you have the sound limiter on the i-pod when you use the headphones you may need to take it back off when using speakers or it wont be loud enough.

mumofmonsters that is whatI do now, not a hugely demanding task I am just being lazy.

Ia hve a more traditional mp3 player could I put some songs on there and then play them through my computer and out through my classroom sound system.

apple store

Not sure if this link will work but I used this site to research speakers...then shopped about for the best price.
