Nintendo DS game recommendations ... for pacifists!

Much to my surprise I am loving my Nintendo DS. I got Brain Training (which I love), and I also got Sims2, which I'm enjoying immensely.

But I hate it in Sims2 when you have to beat up Aliens and crooks, and so on. It's just not in me to be violent!
I know it's only a game, and not a very violent game at that (age 7+), but it's really not me.
I know that sounds pathetic

So can you please recommend for me an interesting, complex RPG with no violence at all!
Does anyone know Tamagotchi Town or Zoo Tycoon?

my ds (age 8) loves brain training, nintendogs (soooo cute!) and mario kart.

I started a thread on this and lots of people recommended games. My DD just got Zoo Tycoon and is loving it (she's 8). She also has Sims Pets 2 which is good. I wouldn't let her play any "beating up" games either.

She also likes Mario something or other and Nintendogs.

Ds has Brain Training, and dd (aged 8) has a brain age of 78 which always makes me snigger . I think Super Mario Brothers is non-violent. Ds love Lego Star Wars too- I was concerned the other day when he was explaining to someone about having killed a character but when I queried this he said patiently "Mum, they're Lego, so it's just the bricks coming apart". I guess that isn't as bad I don't know about games for you though, roisin, unless it's worth trying Big Brain Academy?

god brain training is boring

Tamum · 13/02/2007 14:27

I quite like it

I'm discovering why I've always been so strict with the boys on access to PC games, handhelds, etc.

Because I believe the capacity to be hopelessly addicted and obsessed within hours of first exposure must be genetic

I don't like 'cute' - hate the idea of Nintendogs: sorry! Maybe I will just happily run my hotel and completely ignore the aliens and gangsters when they pop in from time to time!

It's a bit like sim city. Me and mindee (7) are loving it.
