dgs was very hot on Sunday and also crying endlessly, it would have been useful to have a thermometer and preferably one easy to use for small babies. Can you buy those ear thermometers that gps use or are there any other good ones?

we have got a Braun one, the same that the GP's use! They are about 40quid. I find it brill

We've got this one which is easy, fast and cheap. A similar type is 40 quid in Sainsbury's.

Boots own, about £35, had it two years and it's been great.

Definitely a braun ear one. Their customer after care is second to none as well.

Also got the braun one. Very expensive, I'm not sure I'd have bought it, but it was a birth present for ds from my brother and sil. No prizes for guessing that they're already parents! Very practical gift. It's been very useful.

We had the Braun one then one of the kids did something to it and it didn't work for a while (it's fine now!). As an interim measure (as dd often gets such high temps that she passes out so I have to monitor her closely when ill) I got the boots one and found that the ear piece bit was slighter bigger and was more painful for dd and ds than the Braun one so I would definitely go with the Braun one. It is expensive but it's well worth it.

Another thumbs up for the Braun one. We tried the dummy kind, strip kind and underarm kind. All of them have to be in contact with the kiddiewink for a minute which can be difficult when they're unsettled and poorly. The Braun one takes a couple of seconds. DS is that used to his that now after we've done his temp, he does ours.

I looked on amazon and there seem to be two different braun ones, they are the same price but different designs would there be any difference between them They are both 25.97 on there. Though I'm a bit confused by Amazon as to whether you're buying from amazon or someone else?
