Bought Phil & Teds - what buggy bag and footmuff to buy?

Well, I'm really excited as my new P&T has arrived (thank you to daniel from buggies4less - got a great deal!) but I'm at a loss as to what 'changing' bag to get. I'm used to 2 handled pushchairs eg maclaren not 1 handled ones!
I don't want anything huge, have seen the skip hop dash and one from little company - has anyone any suggestions as to the style I should be looking for?
I've got the cocoon for when baby arrives, but my 16mth old needs some sort of footmuff. Is the P&T one the best, or are there alternatives?
Thanks very much!

I would go for the P+T sleeping bag footmuff thingy, very warm & snuggly! Also because of the stle of straps, wouldn't have thought a standard one would fit very well.

I have got a changing bag from Verbaudet which has straps on either side so that you can attach it to the handles but it is quite big, you can't really use it in double mode as it hangs quite low so hits the head of whoever is sitting below it! Have you thought about getting the panier (sp?) bag that P+T do that hang on the side?

I used to use a buggy snuggle with my P&T, also had the P&T sleeping bag, which I used for dd2 when in double mode.

i've just bough p&t's and i'm using one of the panniers as a changing bag - i can fit loads in it. it goes in basket underneath. they?re sold in sets of two and can attach to sides of pram as well. as for footmuff, i bought the very expensive p&t's one but it is too small for may daughter. she is 21 months and on the tall side but slim. the footmuff is too short and too narrow
i've stuck my old mamas and papas footmuff in there and it fits brilliantly. although the harness loks a bit fancy i think any cosytoes which fits with a fivepoint harness will do! also there's a website on ebay called snuckie, or something like that which makes them to measure! it looks quite good.

also, p&t's pram bag doesn't attach to handlebar when new baby in lie flat or doubles seat!

How long do you use the 'baby' bit? DD2 is 2mths and am hoping to get it in next month or so. DD1 is 14mths.

I've got the skip hop saddle bag to match my red E3 here ...the bag is great, if a bit small. I've also got the skip hop Duo which is a good size here . It fastens onto the bar really securely as the strap can change from a shoulder strap to two little loopover the bar straps. The only trouble with this bag is cos of its size the view of little baby underneath is obscured...
I bought both bags from an ebayer in the US - even with postage it was miles cheaper than UK shops.
I use a raspberry buggysnuggle with my P&T though its not really been cold enough this winter...

I ended up buying the P&T sleeping bag which dd loves as it's so snuggly! She's a short 18 months, so the fit is fine!

chex - I love the look of the skip hop dash - it looks a bit smaller than the duo and also looks like it's got a top flap - does the duo have a flap? Also the saddle bag looks quite handy - I'm put off by the size of the P&T panniers as they seem so big and I'm not really one for taking loads of stuff out!

Sorry to crash in.....I am almost 100% sure of buying P&T for when LO no.2 arrives in August. Both my LO's will be in tots bots cloth nappies and I wondered if anyone could recommend a change bag that will fit the P&T and is big enough to hold cloth nappies for 2 children (as well as all the other crap I cart about with me)

Washersaurus · 14/03/2007 19:23

.....I think I will need the pannier bags to hold my shopping as from what I have read on other threads I won't be able to access the basket very easily

TheBlonde · 14/03/2007 19:38

chex - how does the skip hop saddle bag attach? I already have the dash and now I'm tempted by this new one!

madamy · 14/03/2007 22:24

theblonde - would you recommend the skiphop dash? Does it hang down over the newborn/toddler in the back too much?

TheBlonde · 15/03/2007 09:58

Hi, not got the P&T yet the dash is 30 cm top to bottom so would probably obscure the baby a bit. You can adjust the straps length though
