how do we go about getting on the plane with it etc (never flown with kids before)

don't want it to get wrecked does your travel insurance cover your pushchair? but don't eant to take a different stroller as she loves it

ifthe airline damage it do they replace it?

tinker when we were on holiday last year in Cyprus two families at our hotel had the bugaboo, we took a stroller as dd is much older, when you check in they will give you a sticker to put on it, then you can take it with you to the point before you go on the plane, you fold it and leave it and they put it on the plane last, then its on the carosel at the other end with your luggage, maybe get it insured seperate, also put a fragile sticker on it before you head for the airport you can get these at post office

cheers

i was thinking about getting the transport bag for it so it doesn't get scratched has anyone used one of these

don't want to get done at the airport of fannying around though just before we board

our pram gets quite dirty and scratched each time we fly (they're not very careful with them at all!) so if there's some way of protecting it, e.g. with a transport bag, then i'd definitely go for that option

misdee · 09/02/2007 14:12

i would go for the transport bag tbh.

reminds me i have a mountain buggy travel bag to sell.

tinkerbellie · 09/02/2007 14:26

what do you do with the bag though

do you pop it in whilst your waiting to board and then hand it over to them - will they get it first still if it's in a bag

am really paranoid about nothaving the pushchair asap as dd is awful once she starts running around and after being on the plane for 3 hours i should imagine she'll be stir crazy

Hi

We took ours recently to Cape Town. We bought the transport bag and yes, you take the pram apart and put it in just before/as you board. However, when we got off the plane because it was in a bag they sent it to the luggage carousel whilst everyone else had theirs waiting for them!! apart from that it totally protects the pram and we had no damage.

Good Luck
