Is this any good? I am concerned that my house smells of dog sometimes and wonder if it's worth trying this (on top of keeping everything clean obviously ).

Brilliant stuff!!!! it means you never have to wash things

I think your house would probably then smell of dog overlaid with Fabreze! (Worse if anything).

Do you have carpets? That's where the smell usually is - having them cleaned regularly or replacing them with laminate would be better - expensive though...ditto upholstery (shampooing, not laminate!) - could you keep the dog off the soft furnishings?

I have a Polti steam cleaner that keeps carpets and upholstery clean but my Springer loves to swim and the smell of wet dog leaves a lot to be desired.

Febreze is excellent, really takes away the nasty smells. Unfortunately the smell of Febreze doesn't go away!

I wonder, could you spray your dog's fur with Febreze?

Well I bought some and used it in the living room and it has made a difference. The smell of the product is okay and doesn't make me sneeze and I think it smells much fresher. Thanks for the info. all

we have dogs and I use febreze and it does do the trick actually! the only thing you have to watch is that 'some' dogs can be allergic to it! (I saw it on one of those vet programmes) so if your dog has an eczema type of rash after you start using it or sore paws it is most probably the febreze. If not they are okay with it obviously

We have our own version of the Febreze advert. WHere the wife is spraying the house and her friend says "Has Dave given up smoking", i.e. it smells so fresh that she can't detect his smoke but in our version the wife says "yes, but he doesn't half fart a lot"
Its also a bit vile when she sprays his car seat, ugh.
