What to buy a 6 year old boy...

For his birthday. Budget of £20 likes power rangers but i was thinking maybe games or something but not sure? Want to get him something he'll actually want to use o play with. My Ds is only 3 so no idea really please help

Lots of things to be honest but I would stay away from the power rangers plastic crap if I was you as he'll probably get loads.

Anything to draw and write with is great including lots of paper. Then he can make aeroplanes and rockets and let his imagination run riot.

How urgent is it? My ds had these for his birthday (6) and loved them in a big way had the party pack for his party and each friends had one each in a little velvet pouch with an info sheet. They all took them for show and tell on Monday every single one of them!!

Would recommend them so much for anyone. Both the girls and boys loved them just as much and ds keeps them as treasure as do a lot of his friends.

its for Valentines day...i love shopping for presents but always struggle with this particular nephew.

Just the fossil collection would go down a storm and they are things that don't have a price tag too much either iyswim.

You can similar selections from 'Natural World' shops, I know we have one locally in Leicester and Nottingham.

How about Cranium Cadoo game - Tesco had it on offer. Geomag/Supermag/Magnetix, Hot Wheels, Lego and Playmobil are ever popular at that age, Stomp rocket or Phlat Ball.

My ds will be 6 shortly and has asked for magnetix.

Cadoo may be a bit hard (depending on how good a reader he is) - DS (6) needs help with it. Cranium Bumparena is good. Lego PC games are also a hit with DS

dd is 5 and does need help to interpret some of the cards but loves playing anyway , ds is 8 and no problem .

DS (just turned 6) is sat behind me and he says:-

books on space (get the theme here ???!!!!)
starter scalextric set (nut sure if within budget tbh)
model to build with daddy

Dd went to a party at the weekend for a 6 yo classmate. He told her he wanted Power Rangers DVD which hs a 12 cert. I found some magnetix (warrior and horse) which looked good. Anyway to cut a long story short he loved it and said it was the best present he got apparently (think dd may have made that up though ). So I vote for magnetix stuff.
