Hiya was wondering if anyone could help me... before I return aforementioned to m&p and look like a fool...

I bought the pramette in petrol colour before xmas on the webiste, got it out last night to start and assemble, everything fine, apart from there are no press studs to attach the pram hood to the chassis bit... ok that doesnt make great sense, there are press studs on the hood bit, and corresponding poppers on the other end of the pram, but if it was to be fastened this way I wouldnt be able to see the baby, and the pictures illustrate it the other way, but there are no press studs on the other end to match up?

Has anyone else got on.. if so then I might be able to describe this a bit more clearly.. otherwise I'm gonna have to lug it back to the store tonight.. I know its probably something I'm doing wrong.. so if anyone could save me the embarrasment I would be most grateful!!

sorry don't know but go to the shop and ask to see it demonstrated turing from pushchair to pramette mode to save the embarrassment??? Does it popper onto the extra fabric that makes it pramette bit instead???

misdee · 05/02/2007 09:34

i think in pramette mosde you dont use the press studs on the frame do you? i only have a mod, not pramette though.

Can turn it into a pram and a pushchair, it just the press studs to attach the canopy type thing in pram mode are at the wrong end.. i.e near the handles as oppsed to the other end?

Ahhhh I belive you take off the hood/canopy and put it on the other way around so the poppers are once again at the bottom!!!!

geordiemacminx · 05/02/2007 10:02

Nope, the poppers are on the right side of the canopy, there is just nothing on the pram to attach them to?

I've had a wee look on ebay and none of them look like ours.. which looks like a bacg of sh*te!! Gonna pop up this afternoon and do a reccy (sp)... then if ours is a misfit dp can take it back when he gets home... perfect excuse for me to do some shopping while I'm there...

you take the canop0y off and turn it round.

geordiemacminx · 05/02/2007 10:13

But if I attached the canopy where the press studs are on the pram then I wouldnt be able to see the baby?

Its not the canopy thats the problem, its the fact that there isnt anything to attach it too at the far end of the pram...

I'm probably just being really thick, and know I'm not describing it very well. Probably best to go to the shop and get some 16 year old chav to explain it to me..

i dont think there are press studs on the foot rest part, you just tuck it under.

MrsBadger · 05/02/2007 10:19

the poppers are much lower than you'd expect - right underneath the bit that'd be the footrest if you were using it as a fwd-facing pushchair.

geordiemacminx · 05/02/2007 10:37

It might be that there arent supposed to be any... will go and inverstigate this afternoon, before taking the pram and looking like a fool!!!

Thanks ladies!!

Hmm - I have the manual (download it here ) in front of me and it insists there really are poppers under the footrest...

geordiemacminx · 05/02/2007 10:59

Ok so I cant open that at work, but we do have the book at home, and we got the impression that there are supposed to be press studs... but there definately arent... we had the whole thing stripped back last night...

Honestly I would class myself and dp as being reasonably intelligent people, who both work in engineering... and neither of us could figure it...

Thanks so much for all your help though, thats what I love about MN, that people will go out of their way to help you, for no other reason than to be kind.

Thanks once again.. will post back once I have it sorted.. hopefully!!

I'm back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After 40 minutes on M&P....apparently...IT DOESNT HAVE FCUKING PRESS STUDS!!! This is despite the instructions saying that it does... the manufacturer used the same instructions for the prametter as for another pram hence the "deliberate mistake".. There have been loads of people in asking the same thing apparently so I dont feel quite as thick!!

Thanks once again ladies.
