ELC have a sale on their art stuff at the mo and I am wondering about getting dd1 one for her 4th birthday.
Do you have one and do you use it??
We do very little painting at home (prob why she does it EVERY day at nursery) as I am always getting stressed about the mess . I thought this with the painter sponge bottles would be great in the kitchen where there is no room for a table to paint on.
What do you think?

DS has one (also for his 4th birthday) and loves it. If you have an Ikea near you, the one they have has a blackboard on one side, wipe board on the other. It also has a rod that fits in the middle that you can put a roll of paper on and feed it up through the top. It really handy because you don't have to stick the paper on.

That sounds good. I bet it was cheaper too. Can you remember how much you paid?
Thanks.

my ds(5) has used it daily since we got it when he was 2. he uses it with magnetic letters, draws with chalk and in the summer we put it in the garden and use it for painting. it looks nice too and is big and sturdy!

Oh excellent. That is a good recommendation. I like the idea of being able to put it outside. I will let DH make the choice as to where we get it from. If we go to Ikea we will spend more money overall , and the ELC one can be delivered.
I do prefer the wooden one to the plastic ELC one though. We shall see.
Thanks ladies.
