Do humidifiers raise the room temperature?

Hello just got a humidifier for DS's room as he has had an almost permanent cough since November and it is very bad at the mo. Just wondering if the hot steam makes the room significantly hotter? Our monitor's thermometer is broken so cant keep an eye on it unless I keep going into his room, which always wakes him. Worried it will be like a sauna in there.

It will make the room more humid and so might seem hotter, but the humidifier adds moisture to the air not heat, so should not get much hotter at all.

don't think so, but (if it's anything like ours) you'll find some scary brwon dribble marks on your walls

Thanks for that, I thought my thread had died a death without any replies. He definitely coughed less last night but the ceiling and the wall around the window were covered in droplets of water. Think the blackout blind, blackout curtains etc stopped the breeze getting in so it got a bit tooooooo humid. Trying again tonight with just the curtains...
