Do you have an iPod?

If so, when do you get to listen to it?

DH got me an iPod for christmas. I love it. But have listened to it twice - Once on the way home from a weekend away and the children were asleep in the car and once in bed one night but then couldn't get to sleep after I turned it off.

I've downloaded some good stuff on there but don't see how I can ever listen to it.

Ghosty, the only time I get to listen to mine is on my daily commute tbh
You could get yourself some mini speakers and listen to it round the house...

yup
running
ironing ( well don't do much of that)
walking to pick dd up from school when the other 2 are asleep in the buggy
is v v nice

I have a lovely tiny ipod shuffle

I listen to it when I go running usually

but if I ever walk anywhere even for 5 minutes I take it with me

ghosty · 01/02/2007 09:36

I thought about getting a converter for it - to plug into the stereo in the kitchen (the cd player in that is buggered anyway) ...
I don't think I could listen to it when walking DS to school as he talks so much - and I quite like listening to him

I'm commuting to work and listen to it on bus and tube. We have a stereo in our car that lets us plug it in which is great for long drives.

My sis does the same and lets the kids take it in turn to play DJ in their car. They sit with her and make their own playlists and then they play it through the stereo in their house.

School starts next week here .... I could listen to it on the way back from school couldn't I! With DD in the buggy ...
I suppose I just want some PEACE to listen to MY music

No chance I will EVER download any kids' stuff on there ... it is bad enough in the car ...

We have daily rows in the car ... do we listen to "Love to Sing" nursery rhymes or do we listen to "Gorillaz"? (DD - 2, DS - 7)

I have the old style shuffle, which my brother got me and dh used it up until christmas when I got him the new shuffle

I keep meaning to take mine with me, it is so small, just to have it in my bag would be great for the few times when I am without the kids, but I would probably not update it very often

I like the idea of the kids doing playlists.

Bagpuss30 · 01/02/2007 09:47

DH bought me a new pink iPod shuffle yesterday . I am listening to it now and have so far listened to it on the way back from school run whilst ds2 was in the buggy. I used to listen to my old one whilst doing housework too.

airy · 01/02/2007 09:50

I listen to mine whenever I walk anywhere it always comes with me, I've got an fm transmitter for it too, so play it through the stereo at home and in car.

ghosty · 01/02/2007 09:57

The thing is, I am also a bit crap with how to download things. DH did explain but it was boxing day and I had a stonking hango ... er, headache (I must have been coming down with something )
So at the moment I have got some cds that he downloaded but I have NO idea how to do that ... and he is away for another 2 weeks .... doh ...
So I am spending time with Robbie and James Morrison, Van Morrison, Coldplay and the Killers.
That's it really. Need more stuff on it I suppose.

Ghosty - best thing is to load your fave CD's onto your computer so iTunes will pick them up. You can buy songs off iTunes as well - just have to be online to do that.

Once it's all in iTunes you just create playlists (if you want to) and update your iPod
