DS2 is 4 and has decided his nursery 'animals' decor has to go. He says he wants a jungle theme, but I'm worried that he'll grow out of this again in another couple of years, so it can't be too 'babyish jungle' IYSWIM?

I was wondering more 'rainforest'?

All ideas, links, products, designs here please.....

I think Ikea had some jungle-ish stuff a while back - seem to remember a leaf canopy to go on a bed?

B and Q do a freeze which goes round the bottom half of the wall, very rainforesty, teamed with green dado rail, teracotta walls and green curtains it looks fab.

Great Little Trading Co. has stuff.

Paint the walls etc plain and make the jungle bits easily removable.

Have done a jungle theme for Ds who is only nearly 2 but I didn't want anything babyish either. I got the leaf canopy from Ikea which is over his bed but, could be used to make a small cwch area. Also got a green rug with animal footprints cut into the pattern, wall stickers of jungle animals (99p per pack) and lots of soft toys bugs and spiders which we hung up int he corners and from shelves with fishing line. Got a lampshade from John Lewis shaped like a hot air balloon in green which might be a bit young for yours but couldn't really find anything else. Since I did all this Vertbaudet have produced a range of jungle bedroom stuff.

My DS (8) wanted a jungle theme. He's got sand coloured walls with little round green rugs with footprints pressed in from ikea. Painted the bed (high level one) khaki green. Best bit is the camo net (bought from ebay for about £10) strung across the cieling. Only needed a small one as its a tiny room. We just put hooks in the corners of the cieling and pulled it across. He's got plastic snakes and spiders and stuff hanging from it. You could also get animal print cusions, beanbag etc.

Try Friezeframe . We had the railway theme one for ds, and it was actually quite easy to do, but very effective.

DD1 has these, really easy to use and stick up.
