Normal Aquadraw or Thomas one for 2 year old?

DS2 is 2 next week and wanted to get an Aquadraw so looking into it and found the two types. The "normal" one says 18 months + and the other one says 3+ so I thought I would ask here what people who actually had an aquadraw which one would be best! Thanks!

My 2 1/2 year old ds got the Thomas one for x-mas and loves it...but he is obcessed about Thomas anyway, lol.

we're not quite at the thomas obsessed stage yet although we do have the entire track/characters etc from DS1!

We got the Thomas one for Christmas but the gadget for drawing train-track seems to have stopped sucking water out of its pen already :-(

We have the regular one and it's great. I think if we had the Thomas one, DS1 would spend all his time doing the train thing rather than drawing, and I bought it as an alternative to endless wasted paper and drawing on the walls! I kind of figured it was good to get away from too many train things too...

Thanks for the replies...i got the regular one for the reason you said AllBuggiedOut..he has tons of train stuff but i want this for the drawing!
