Bought some shoes for ds today from clarks. he has worn them round the house for about 3 hours and they look terrible. The fronts have worn off and gone a sort of black colour (rest of shoe is light blue) and look like he's had them for about a year.

So can i return them as not fit for purpose, surely they dont expect toddlers shoes to last 3-4 hours these days?

I would certainly give it a go! Their shoes are not cheap & shouldn't look shabby after a couple of hours wear.
I think they are pretty good about exchanging shoes.

your receipt will show when you bought them. I'd be banging their door down at 9am

I always found Clarks really good at taking shoes back - they have always changed them without question when they've rubbed dd's feet, or when they haven't lasted long enough. I once had a pair replaced simply because dd needed a bigger size within 6 weeks - they said they should last longer than that.

I just hope they dont say its his/my fault. Its not as if he's crawling anymore, and even if he was you;d expect them to be slightly more hardwearing. Honestly they look dreadful and i loved them

they will be fine i'm sure

Well i took the shoes back this morning and some snotty little girl said 'was he crawling a lot on them' to which i replied 'no he wasnt, but does it matter if he was crawling on them all night or not because surely shoes should last longer than a few hours' .... so she stuck her nose up at that and I got another pair of different shoes.

don't get me started about clarks shoes and being suitable for boys' robustness!!

They laways say ''oh he's been crawling in these''. Well yes. He's a boy. They do that. Even aged 8. So frigging design shoes for boys which are tough!!! You charge us enough for the damn things.....grrr,mutter...
