has anyone seen any? like the ones that were shaped like the packet of chocolate biscuits, or cream crackers. i can't find any anywhere (apart from one someone is selling on ebay that is about 100 years old)

they used to sell them in the reject shop.

I used to have a digestive biscuit one. The reject shop was great, wasn't it? Recently bought a large tin of 'party rings' in a lovely tin, but more of a cake tin shape.

i miss the reject shop, the tins seem really hard to find

Yeah bring back the Reject shop. Havn't looked but would Lakeland do them, have you tried google?

i wondered about museum shops, past times etc but havn't found anything.Sometimes tins come up as promotions, we have PG Tips tins, oxo, which were free with a packet inside.

Did anyone else have ones of those indoor gardens from the RS - a big green glass bottle with a leopard lily and a fern inside?

i've tried lakeland and googled and froogled to no avail i know they existed once

I ordered one from Bettaware but sent it abck as it was not air tight. The crackers would have been rubbery in a few hours.

Oh, just re read the thread and realised you meant the collectable ones not the tuppawear sort

foxtrot · 27/01/2007 17:46

this kind of thing?

southeastastra · 27/01/2007 17:50

yes! though i'd prefer a new one and wanted to get a few different ones. (for crackers, chocolate biscuits etc)

looks like there is gap in the market for 70s/80s retro stuff, i cannot find anything. Either that or my googling powers are fading...

foxtrot · 27/01/2007 18:20

a couple here maybe a bit old fashioned

southeastastra · 27/01/2007 18:23

i like the tea tins, definitely a gap in the market. thanks for looking
