gist for an 11yr old girl laid up with injured back...any ideas what they're into?

neighbours dd has injured her back doing ballet and has been unable to walk for 9 days now.She can sit apparently .Would like to get her something to cheer her up,cure the boredom as she's usually so active.

what books are 11yr olds into?
can't think of anything else I could get her ,don't think she's that into reading tbh.

Fancy stationery, especially gel pens & a book she can write in & decorate

Is high school musical too old for an 11 yr old,don't know the rating?

my dd 11 thinks it is too young for her. but it's hard to say. it's pretty dreadful in my own opinion!

Noel Streatfield's classic 'Ballet Shoes'is a lovely book( a bit old fashioned)

I would say dvd as well. Last year dd1 spent along time recovering from a big operation and loved watching dvds.(particularly grease)
