After years of not bothering, I have now started ironing, unfortunately my cheapo iron is not up to the job. Can anyone recommend a good one?

was gonna say the same... it has to be a tefal unltra glide... they aer simply the best and far supperior to any other iron IMO

  • you can normally get a decent one for about £20 on offer somewhere (especially robert dyas, and im sure they are also on offer in our big asda at the moment (or was it big tesvco where i saw them?)

Ooh ok, that's great. Does it take tap water?

it does and it has a self clean mechanism.... but i always use that distilled bsttery water in my iron cause the water i live is so hard, and i had scaley scum squirting on my clothes

i pay 29p per 2 litres of it from savers so it hardly breaks that bank!
