Dh is 40 this year, and wants one.
How much do I need to pay to get a decent one?
What issues do I need to look out for?

My Dad just bought a spotting scope.

It cost about £1000 if I remember rightly but it was the top of the range scope.

I will happily find out details for you, names, websites etc if you want me to.

You could try looking here .

The RSPB actually charge more than most other sites for the exact same thing.

The website my Dad got his from was a site I had never heard of before (I found it for him and the 15% off voucher code he used) and they provided brilliant service and althought the scope normally takes 28 days to deliver they sent it within 2 weeks.

As I say give me a shout and I shall get all the details.

Thanks flutterbee - I'd appreciate that!
Do you think I could get something decent for c.£600?
Is it the sort of thing that holds its quality second hand? I could I get better quality for the money through Ebay? or not?
