Family car

We desperately need a new car but I'm not sure where to start.

We have two DC in car seats, and like camping. Would an estate be a good plan? If so which one? Looking at buying something second hand for up to 5-6k.

Does an estate have that much more boot space than a regular car, if you don't pile everything up so high that you can't see out of the back window?

Thank you!

We have the Vauxhall insignia estate which I love. I car seat at the minute but one on the way. Plenty of boot space. And it looks lush.

Not sure about second hand cost (ours is leased) but we have a Hyundai i40 estate. It's very similar looking to the insignia. It has a big boot but still lots of room in the back seats. We have a DS and do lots of outdoor activities and can fit loads of stuff in it.

We had Vauxhall insignia estate all plastic and rubbish looks nice though. Vw Passat estate had immense boot space and is very reliable
